IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2023

We’re incredibly fortunate to have access to this wealth of inspiration right here, in and around our city. Yet, sadly many local businesses and residents of Milton Keynes are unaware of its existence!

Founded in 2010, IF: Milton Keynes International Festival takes place every two years. It’s produced by The Stables, one of the UK’s leading music organisations and venues, which is based here in Milton Keynes.

Creating unique and memorable experiences, the Festival is designed to encourage residents and visitors to see a different side to Milton Keynes. Its world-class, multi-arts programme includes new commissions, site-specific and community participation projects, large-scale/outdoor and family events, concerts, theatre, dance, music and visual arts installations.

Having enjoyed quite a few of these magical events in the past, I decided that this year it was time to don a pink t-shirt and get involved. So I added my name to the volunteer list!

So far this has meant being part of the team at the Middleton Hall installation of The Place Between, but over the 10 days that the festival is live you might just spot me behind the bar in the magical Spiegeltent or Arabian Tent, or out in the city assisting in the activities…

If you’ve not yet looked at the range of events – many free – then I urge you to do so.

This year’s dates are 21-30 July – and there really is something for everyone! 🥳
