The Lunch / How best to inspire talent in 2023

26 June 2023

Last week we enjoyed our latest leadership lunch – events established by Yellowyoyo to bring local thought leaders together to share ideas and experiences.

At this quarter’s lunch Al, Bryan, Amanda and Elise were joined by:

  • Sarah Sweet-Rowley from Autism Early Support
  • Gamiel Yafai from Diversity Marketplace
  • Michelle Theuma from Onyx Recruitment
  • Nigel Adams from Ad Valorem
  • Mark Ormerod from Leap, and
  • Frazer Arnott from All Things Business, our event Media Partners

Kicking off proceedings, Bryan shared his research findings based on this quarter’s topic – how best to inspire talent in 2023. He described four of the key considerations for today’s leaders: the evolving nature of the workplace, the importance of staff well-being, the necessity of fostering a diverse and inclusive culture and the importance of effectively harnessing technology and talent.

The conversations that followed were many and varied, covering such subjects as purpose, trust, recruitment, leadership styles, diversity and innovation. Some of these will be captured in July’s edition of All Things Business.

We’d like to thank our guests for giving of their time to share their thoughts on a subject that affects us all.

Thank you too to Sarah, for her thoughts on joining us:

“The skills, talent and efficiencies charity leaders need to employ and nurture are equal to those for our colleagues in the private sector, yet we are always limited by resource, buying and bargaining power. So opportunities like this, to join forward thinking debate and share insights with business leaders are invaluable.

For charities to grow and thrive and navigate the road ahead we need a seat at the table and we need great partnerships. Thank you Yellowyoyo for realising the importance of these conversations and for bringing people together in such an enjoyable way.” Sarah Sweet-Rowley /CEO of Autism Early Support

Our next gathering of The Lunch will be held in September. If you’re interested in being on our list to be a guest at our table, do please send us an email, or call us on 01908 980 400.
