For many, the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic have been nothing short of catastrophic.
MK Community Foundation’s Covid-19 MK Emergency Response Appeal, in association with MK Council, aims to help those worst affected by offering grants to local charities and community groups ranging from £200 to over £5000 and also far larger strategic grants.
We’re delighted to be helping MK Community Foundation to create case studies for the funding that they have granted, with the aim of not only increasing donations, but also raising awareness of the availability of fund for organisations in need of support.
Our aim is to highlight specific issues caused by the pandemic, the direct effects that funding had for organisations and to discover the differences made to the lives of residents of Milton Keynes.
Local groups currently receiving funding range from those distributing emergency food and supplies to mental health support and from community creative projects to family mediation services.
It’s in challenging times that a community pulls together. It’s also in these challenging times that the most vulnerable in the community are in most need.
If you are able to donate to this incredibly worthwhile emergency fund you can do so here.
